2012-13 Phoenix Suns: Position by Position Breakdown…

Position: Power Forward

Starter: Luis Scola (14.3ppg, 8.3rpg, 0.8bpg)

Backup(s): Markieff Morris (7.0ppg, 4.4rpg, 0.4bpg), Channing Frye (10.5ppg, 5.9rpg, 1.1bpg)

Synopsis: This position is one where I can actually say the Suns are stacked. Louis Scola is a man that is up and coming at the forward position. He can score and rebound and proved last year that he can be counted on as a everyday starter. Hes not the best defender but that can be made up for by the backups he has behind him. Morris will be a defensive force as he begins to grow into his NBA body. And as he becomes a better scorer he will be excellent off the bench and a great spot starter if Scola is injured. Now Channing frye is a excellent parimiter shooter who can give them so much needed pop off of the bench late in games as he can hit some big three’s when necessary. Overall the Suns are pretty set for the near future at the Power Forward position…
