2012-13 Los Angeles Lakers: Position By Position Breakdown…

Position: Center

Starter: Dwight Howard (18.2ppg, 10.9rpg, 2.8bpg)

Backup(s): Jordan Hill (6.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 0.5bpg), Robert Sacre (0.3ppg, 0.0rpg, 0.3bpg)

Synopsis:  The Lakers are set at this position for a long time. The Lakers are very young at the Center position. Let’s  start with Howard he is definitely a work in progress he has back issues that has kept him off the court the past couple of years. But here is the kicker when Howard is healthy he is easily and by far the best center in the league. He is already averaging a double-double on the season and is starting to look like he has in previous years. Behind him the Lakers have a great backup who would start for most NBA teams in Jordan Hill. He is athletic fast and will be a  amazing contributor off of the bench as he can play both center and forward positions. Sacre I don’t know much about I know he has only been in the league a couple of years and he hasn’t produced much. But he has big potential because of his height (7’0”) but his upside is huge. But he will be a project player for a couple of years, so don’t expect a lot from here now…
