2012-13 Los Angeles Lakers: Position By Position Breakdown…

Position: Power Forward

Starter: Pau Gasol (13.4ppg, 9.1rpg, 1.3bpg)

Backup(s): Antwan Jamison (4.7ppg, 3.3rpg, 0.3bpg), Earl Clark (0.7ppg, 0.3rpg, 0.0apg)
Synopsis: Pau Gasol started this season on a roll in the Princeton offense. He was picking up double doubles left and right. But then came the firing of Mike Brown and the hiring of Mike D’Antoni and that affected his game a little bit. But he has still had a pretty great season so far. His backups will be the key to the Lakers success to an extent. The versatility of Antwan Jamison and his ability to play the Small Forward and Power Forward position will be crucial to the Lakers in the postseason. If they make it that far… Who knows? Earl Clark came over in the Dwight Howard from Orlando. I don’t think he will have a huge impact but in future years I think that Clark is definitely a Laker to keep your eye on…
