Position: Power
Forward
Starter: Blake
Griffin (16.3ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.0bpg)
Backup(s): Lamar Odom
(2.8ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.0bpg), Trey Thompkins (2.4ppg, 1.0rpg, 0.1bpg)
Synopsis: The Clippers are fairly young at this position
with Odom being the only player with more than 1 to 2 years of experience inn
the league. But all 3 players are immensely talented starting with Blake
Griffin everyone knew he was going to be a force in this league and possibly
the best Power Forward in the game as far as aggressiveness goes. Griffin will
never have the sweet shot that Tim Duncan has but he can be a better rebounder
and overall forward. This kid is
destined to win a title its just a matter of when and with what team. Bringing
Odom in in the offseason was a huge addition and added some much needed veteran
depth at the Forward position. Odom
actually brings something that, neither one of the other 2 guys can bring and that’s
a 3 point shot. He can shoot it from the outside and play a little point
forward when he is on the floor. Trey Thompkins
is a young stud waiting for his time in only his 2nd year in
the league he should provide good garbage time minuets when the Clippers need
to give Odom and Griffin some rest. This is a team primed to make a playoff run
this year…
