In this particular review we are going to cover a dominant
performance by the San Francisco 49ers. On the big stage as well. Alex Smith put
together a almost perfect game and Fran Gore did his part. Heck even Randy Moss
got in on the scoring on Monday night. In a rivalry that has been dominated by
the 49ers in recent years. Everyone including myself thought that this was
going to be a highly contested battle between two bitter rivals. The 49ers
showed up to play and play they did. The defense was about as solid as you can be
and played an almost perfect game themselves as they confused the Cardinals QB
and made the running game non – existant…
Game #8 – San Francisco
49ers at Arizona Cardinals
Offense: A (A.Smith
18/19 232yrds 3TD’s, F.Gore 16/55yrds, M.Crabtree 5/72yrds 2TD’s): Lets
start out with the obvious achievement hit in this game. Alex Smith showed that
he can play well against a very good QB. He only missed on one pass and found
the end zone 3 different times. Possibly his best single game performance of
his career. Same thing for Crabtree who seemed to be having a breakout game on
the big stage of Monday Night Football.
Frank Gore had himself a pretty good night even though he didn’t have a
lot of yards but he was a huge contributor in many other ways. Keep an eye on
this offense coming out of the Bye week as they take on the Rams…
Defense: A- (Passing
Yrds All. 290yrds, Rushing Yrds All. 7yrds, 1TO): The defense couldn’t stop
the Passing game. But they made up for it by completely shutting down the
running game. I cant think of the last time I saw a NFL team held to 7 rushing
yards in an entire game. That’s dominance people understand that. What the
49ers pulled off this Monday night was a statement that thi is their division
to lose and they are once again in control of their own fate as we move forward
into the second half of the season…
Final Score: 49ers
24, Cardinals 3
