Now 2 weeks ago the Raiders went into the game against
Payton Manning and the Broncos leading most to believe that they would turn it
around against a team they have performed well against over the years. But unfortunately
they were trounced by those Broncos in Denver. But now fast forward to Week 6
and very difficult matchup against the undefeated Atlanta Falcons. This is a
team that is playing at a top level in recent weeks on both sides of the ball.
Can the Raiders get their running game going against a solid Falcons defensive
line. Can Carson Palmer turn his flat season around and help the Raiders get a
wild card spot?....
Game #6 – Oakland Raiders
at Atlanta Falcons
Offense: OAK B-/ATL
A- : The Raiders offense has been anemic at times this year. They have also
had times in which they have shown life. The injuries that have been troubling
the Raiders all season seem to be coming to an end. With the offense back at
about 90% the Raiders should provide some matchup problems for the Atlanta
defense. McFadden should be able to get his game going running around the edges
and getting to the outside on this defense. As for the Falcons offense Matty
ice should get his 300+yards and 1 or 2 TD’s in which should be another Falcons
win…
Defense: OAK C+/ATL
B+: The Raiders defense has looked bad against the run in recent weeks. And
that is what worries me about this game. If Turner gets his motor running early
in this game it will be a long day for the Raiders and their front 7. But I have
belief that if the Raiders play at their best that they can make a game of this
and still be in it in the 4th Quarter. The Falcons defense on the
other hand has been performing at a high level all season long and they should
be able to frustrate Carson Palmer most of the day. But like I said previously
if the Raiders can get McFadden going it will open it up for Palmer and the
speedsters that they have in the Wideout core. But we will have to wait and see
till Sunday huh?...
Special Teams: OAK
B+/ATL B: The Raiders have the advantage in special teams. Because as much
as like Matt Bryant. If it comes down to the kicker in this game I will put my
money on Janko before Bryant any day of the week. And it dosent need to be said
that Lechler is the best punter in football with only is counterpart across the
bay coming close. If it’s a close game this could be where the Raiders pull it
out…
Final Score: Falcons
28, Raiders 21
