Hello students today we are here once again in a positive
mood. Why? You may ask are we in such a jovial mood the reason is because this weekend
the San Francisco 49ers set an NFL record becoming the 1st team to
throw and run for over 300 yards in the same game. They also set a team record
for most total offensive yards. This team was clicking on all cylinders on
Sunday. Alex Smith looked like a man on a mission throwing for 300+ and 3 TD’s.
So lets get to the review…
Game #5 – Buffalo Bills
at San Francisco 49ers
Offense: A- (A. Smith
18/24 303yrds 3TD’s, F.Gore 14/106yrds 1TD, M.Crabtree 6/113yrds 1TD): The
offense was just plain clicking Alex Smith looked like a “elite” QB out there.
He threw for 300+ yards and hit for 3 touchdowns to 3 different receivers.
Frank Gore looked like th beast that he is as he bowled over a helpless Bills
defense that couldn’t seem to stop a fly all game. The running game was classic
as frank and the boys rang up 300+ yards on the ground. Wow is all I can say is
WOW…
Defense: A+ (Passing
Yrds All.: 126yrds, Rushing Yrds All.: 89yrds, 2TO): The defense played on
fire all game long. Continuing the hot run from last week forcing another 2
turnovers (Making it 8 in the last 2 weeks). These 49er corners are underrated
after what they did in Green Bay to shutting down the Jets and Bills as they
were supposed to. This is a very underrated group and you have to love the
effectiveness of the front 7 as they defense is almost at full strength and is
red hot….
Special Teams: B- (Kick
Return Yrds: 2/45yrds, Punt Return Yrds: 3/18yrds): This game the Special
Teams unit was pretty much found null and void amassing a total of 63 yards I wouldn’t
say that the 49ers dominated this facet of the game. But the fact of the matter
is that they didn’t have to the rest of the team offense and defense did the
job for them…
Final Score: 49ers
45, Bills 3
