2012-13 Golden State Warriors: Position by Position breakdown…

Position: Small Forward

Starter (Projected): Harrison Barnes (Rookie)

Backups: Richard Jefferson (9.ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.4apg), Kent Bazemore (Rookie)…

Synopsis:  This is the position that I am most excited about this season. The small forward position has always been… lets just say least secure position on the court. They has Dorell Wright and subbed in Brandon Rush but overall no real security at the three for the last couple of seasons. After what I have seen during the D-League and NBA Preseason Harrison Barnes is the real deal that the Warriors have needed. He has to play a little sharper on the defensive end but his size will mask that long enough for him to catch up. But overall the kid can score and he will provide a much needed scoring burst out of the Small forward position. That’s where Richard Jefferson comes into play he can provide crucial minuets down the clutch for the Warriors and he can mentor a young Barnes into a stout defender as well as give Bazemore tips and hints on the offensive end in setting up the Warriors to be solid at the Small Forward  position for years to come…
