Ok students after a wonderful Saturday of College football.
Its time to come back and talk a little more NFL. This time we are going to
preview the Oakland Raiders and the San Diego Chargers who are going to lock
horns in Oakland on Monday. This should be a good battle most Raider/Charger
games are. Both teams have good QB’s and solid Defenses so lets get to the
grades…
Game #1 – Oakland Raiders
vs San Diego Chargers
Offense: OAK A-/SD:
B+: The Raiders offense looks to shine in this game San Diego’s defense is
not as strong as in recent years. So Carson Palmer may be able to use his young
receiving core to their potential and run up the score a little. As for San
Diego Phillip Rivers looked a lil shaky during the preseason lets hope he shake
some of them by game time…
Defense: OAK B+/SD:
B-: Both Defenses are strong and
have great talent on the line and in the line backing core. But the Raiders
have the advantage here their 1st team defense looked very sharp in
the preseason giving hope to Raiders fans everywhere. Whereas the Chargers
defense looked poor all preseason and they showed no depth in the finale
against the 49ers…
Special Teams: OAK A-/SD:
B+: The Raiders will always have the advantage over most opponents in this category
because Janakowski and Lechler are two of the best Special Teams specialist in
football. Janko’s leg may decide this game as it has so many others. The
Chargers have a solid kicker but they lack the return threat the Raiders have
in Jacoby Ford. Advantage Silver and Black…
Final Game Result:
Raiders 28, Chargers 20
