Lets all say “Welcome Back” to the NFL as we kick off another season on Wed. night (Part 2)…

Well Students for the 2nd straight day we are going to talk NFL this time most of our stories are West Coast focused. We are going to talk a little Russell Wilson, Weare going to talk a lil 49ers and Raiders and we are also going to talk a little RG3. So sit back and prepare to be given the West Coast edition of “Welcome Back”…

Story #5 – The Washington Redskins draft Baylor QB Robert Griffin III to lead their franchise into the future! – The Redskins did what everyone new they would do with the #2 pick in the draft. They took the most exciting player in the draft and the 2011  Heisman winner RG3 a lot of comparisons have been made to Cam Newton and I can see where they lie. But I don’t expect him to have as good of a year as Cam but I do expect him to excel in the NFL in the long run…

Story #6 – The Seattle Seahawks surprise the NFL by starting Rookie QB Russell Wilson over veteran Matt Flynn! – The Seahawks went out this offseason and won the bidding war for coveted QB Matt Flynn and it seemed a lock that =he would be the starter in Seattle this season. And good things were expected of him. Then the Seahawks drafted 5’9” QB out of Wisconsin Russell Wilson and he came out in the preseason and earned the starting job by beating out a true professional and Tavaris Jackson…

Story #7 – Can the Raiders win a much tougher AFC West?? – Well this is a double edged question only because the answer is both yes and no. I will 1st deal with the yes. The Raiders can very well win the west if Carson has built the necessary connection with the young receiving core.  Also both Carson Palmer and Darren McFadden have to say healthy all season or else this train can be derailed. So we will have to keep an eye on the injury list because if either one of those guys are on there the Raiders are in trouble for making the post season…

Story #8 – Can the 49ers repeat as NFC West championship?? – The answer to this question is complicated but overall it is yes the Niners went out and retooled and restocked at the positions that they were lacking depth at on the team. With  the addition of Jacobs, Moss, Manningham and James the 49ers made their offense much more potent and they return all of the starters from last years Top 5 defense. So expect big things from the 49ers this year because I know I do!...

Ok kids hope you took notes because I don’t like to repeat myself. These are my top 8 reasons to watch the NFL  in the 2012-13 season. Look out for both Bay Area teams this year because we may get a Bay Bridge series yet. Till then… Class is Dismissed…
