Lets all say “Welcome Back” to the NFL as we kick off another season on Wed. night…

Welcome back students today we are just talking football. So  we are going ot cover just some of the basic storylines the top ones that you should be paying attention to this NFL Season. I will cover 4 today and another 4 tomorrow. Today we are going to start out with the young kids…

Story #1The Indianapolis Colts draft Stanford QB Andrew Luck to replace Payton Manning – There are 2 reasons you should pay attention 1st Andrew Luck is a local boy having attended Stanford University in Palo Alto. This makes him a local hero to root for no matter what team he was on. The 2nd reason is because he was the number 1 player taken in the NFL Draft and him and his now pro partner (Robert Griffin III who was taken #2) are going to be battling for the Rookie of the Year trophy in 2012…

Story #2 – The Cleveland Browns are starting QB Brandon Weeden and RB Trent Richardson Week 1 – Although this is a situation where a rookie QB came in and earned a starting spot I think this will be an intriguing story to watch as Weeden makes his way in the NFL. Now as for Richardson he was drafted into a situation that after the loss of Payton Hillis was open for him to take as soon as he got there. This is a situation that I think is going to work out well for both rookies. If Richardson goes off in the running game this will open up the Passing game for the rookie QB. So ill be keeping my eye on that one…

Story #3 – The Miami Dolphins decide to start rookie QB Ryan Tannahill Week 1 – The Dolphins went thru a lot of trouble this offseason to try to fill their void at the QB position. They went out and signed David Gerrard and they also kept Matt Moore. But the big move they made was drafting Tannahill in the 1st round. Everyone including myself considered this a little high to take a project QB. Then came the preseason and the young QB took the reigns and ran with them all the way to a Week 1 start. This kid is going to be something special…

Story #3 – Can 2nd year QB Cam Newton repeat his performance form last season?? – This is another very intriguing story line. Cam had a historic rookie season. Scoring double digit TD’s passing and running the ball. Mr Newton proved that he deserved all the hype he had coming into the league. And as far as im concerned he proved that he is a person of strong character and not what they claimed him to be coming in. This will be the story to watch for Panthers fans he may lead them into the playoffs but not ot a Super Bowl…At least not this year…

Those are the 1st 4 stories to watch but for now take these 4 and run with them. I know that you will be glued to your tv every Sunday! Besure to take plenty of notes. Till then… Class is Dismissed…
