So the Lakers get all the extra bullets necessary to compete
for a title…
Welcome
back students today we are going to talk current events. And what I mean about
that is that we are going to talk about a massive event that happened in California.
What are you talking about? You may ask! Im talking about the trade of the best
defensive Center in the NBA . Yup that’s right Dwight Howard is heading to LA…
With the Lakers trade for All Star Center Dwight Howard pretty much
complete. I would say its pretty much shifted a large amount of power back to
the Western Conference. This trade is HUGE for the Lakers initially with the
addition of PG Steve Nash and SF Antwan Jamison to a already strong and young
line up the Lakers made themselves not only in the Western Conference but in
the entire NBA. At this point I don’t even know if the mighty Heat or Celtics can
take down this beast. Think about a
starting lineup featuring Nash at point Bryant at the 2 Jamison at 3 Pau Gasol
at the 4 and D Howard at the 5. I say WOW that is a loaded team a team that you
definitely have to pay attention to…..
Now
you add that and you add the fact that the Warriors and the Kings and Clippers
all made moves in the offseason to bolster their low post. Put this thought on
your head. You have a emerging C in Deandre Jordan with the Clippers then you
have C Dwight Howard across town with the Lakers. Add to that C Andrew Bogut
acquired by the Warriors late last season. You also have C Demarcus Cousins in
Sacramento with the Kings and another emerging Center in Macin Gortat in
Phoenix with the Suns. So this will be a very stacked division next year and
its going to be fun to watch them go at it for the division title. This is a
division that may send up to 4 teams into the playoffs next season should be
interesting to watch….
Now
kids go home and glue yourself to the tv’s and see what happens in the Wild
Wild Western Conference in 2012-13, Till next time…Class is dismissed…
