Good Afternoon and Welcome students we are back again with
our preseason preview of the Oakland Raiders. Now this game was much better for
the Raiders. The reserves played very well in their time on the field and the
starters on defense looked like real studs. Although this week didn’t result in
a victory either the Raiders definitely looked like a better squad…
Score: Cardinals 31,
Raiders 27
Offense: B+ (Passing
Yrds: 171yrds. Rushing Yrds: 113yrds): The offense as a whole looked good.
They don’t necessarily look regular season ready but they definitely had their bright spots in
this game against a pretty good Cardinals defense…
Quarterbacks: A-
(C.Palmer 13/24 107yrds 1INT, M.Leinart 5/8 66yrds): Now Carson Palmer did
look a lot better than he did last week. But the decision making that he is
doing is still in question. But Leinart stayed steady and looks to be a solid
backup should Palmer flounder…
Running Backs: B+
(L.Miller 15/54yrds, D.McFadden 9/34yrds): McFadden once again looked like
a man on a mission. But unfortunately wasn’t able to produce a lot of a lot of
yards or any touchdowns. Neither did his backup Miller in extended play time but
as a whole they looked good…
Wide Receivers: C+
(R.Streater 7/43yrds, J.Ford 2/21yrds): Although backup receiver Streater
looked good again the loss of Jacoby Ford to injury definitely makes this a weaker squad overall and they
performed like it. But I think that they will be able to get by until they can
get him back on the field…
Defense: B+ (Passing
Yards All. 95yrds, Rushing Yards All. 127yrds): The good point of this
defense was the performance of the 1st team defense. They were true
beast getting to the QB often and just embarrassing Cardinals offensive line up
and down the field. Looking for big things out of the 1st team in
the regular season this year…
Overall: A-
