My Final Thoughts on the London Olympics (Part 2)…

I promised you that we would revisit the Olympics. Well students there are a few more Olympic moments I would like to share with you these are moments that will stay with me for the rest of my life. The Moments of the USA Men’s and Women’s paths to the Gold Medals. Kerri Walsh in her farwell to Olympic Volleyball. Kobe’s announcement that this will be his last Olympic Gold Medal. And LeBron being the 1st since the great Jordan to win a Finals MVP, NBA Title, and an Olympic Gold Medal in the same year/season… with that said lets talk Olympiad…

4) Missy Franklin swims to Gold in London: This 17 year old phenom took London by storm bringing home Gold in 3 separate events. The young swimmer from Pasadena had always dreamed of winning Olympic gold but never dreamed of earning 3 in her 1st Olympics. Could she be considered a female Michael Phelps and dominate the female swimming world? Only time will tell with this young athlete but I know ill be keeping my eye out for her in 2016…

5) The US Women’s and Men’s Basketball teams claim Gold fairly easy in 2012: Everyone here stateside pretty much knew with the talent that both teams have they were pretty much a lock to win the gold medal. Only problem with that is that the games still have to be played. For the women it was easy I don’t think they were challenged much at all. But the Men had had trouble with the Spain team earlier in the tourney. Then they met in the gold medal game with the Spaniards the only thing standing between the US team and destiny they held on late and managed to pull off the 107-102 victory and bring home the US’s 14th Gold Medal and for the women it was their 5th straight now that is dominance…

6) The USA dominates overall medals (104) and Golds (46): I can personally say that I am proud of every athlete that went to London to compete in the name of the great US of A. I am even proud of Serena and her “crip walk” after winning the gold medal on the famed Wimbledon Centre Court. I am proud of the all because they went there and gave it their all weather they medaled or not the gave everything they had in competition for their country. And now yet another Summer Olympics ends with the US so far ahead of everyone else in medal count you begin to wonder why the other countries show up. So here is to the Summer Olympics here is to American dominance. And here is to the Red,White and Blue…

Well students those are some of my favorite Olympic moments from this years Summer Olympics. I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did till next time students. Class is dismissed…
