Can Terrell Owens really make a comeback in today’s NFL…
Welcome
back class today im going to start you off with a little good news and a little
bad news. The Good news is that the Seattle Seahawks have addressed their needs
at WR after the release of Mike Williams. This should make a lot of Seahawks fans
happy. Until they see who they addressed it with. Here comes the bad news…They
addressed this issue with 2 former 49ers
Wide Receivers in Terrell Owens and Braylon
Edwards ….
Now
neither of these gentlemen are bad Wide
outs or by any stretch of the human imagination although Braylon doesn’t have
the numbers of a TO he has the size and he definitely has the ability. He just
never found that QB to get his big bodied fram the ball. TO has shown he has
the talent and that has never been his weak point now inb his relationships
with his previous QB’s I have watched Owens slowly grow up. After departing the
place that made him TO (San Francisco) he went to Philadelphia where he promptly
jumped on Donnie Macs last nerves but it only helped to fuel their on field connection
that almost upended the Patriots to win a Super Bowl. But alas it was not meant
to be. TO had to open his big mouth and next thing you know he was on his way
out of Philly. There was a level of growth to him in Dallas he did learn that
him and his QB have to get along if he wants to be productive and have a chance
at the Super Bowl again and there were a few productive years for the Cowboy
before Dallas just like Philly and San Fran before them tired of TO and the TO
show. But there was redemption offered in Cincinnati alongside another showmen in Ochocinco but the
2 could not get it done and the Bengals baley made the playoffs and after one season tired of the To show
after only one season. So then he takes a couple of years off goes and has some
work done on his knee and then comes back as a owner/player in the IFL. This
too was short lived as after only 6 games I believe and now back to the NFL as
now TO teams up with 2 more down and out Wide outs (Sidney Rice lived up to the hype in
Minnesota but never produced a title, Braylon Edwards all the talent in the world just couldn’t seem
to find his QB and when he had a chance was hurt most of the season) and they are going to try to help the
Seahawks fly to a NFC West title over the defending champ 49ers. Only time will
with both teams. But to TO I say good luck and to the Seahawks I hope your
project WR’s workout as much as I hope Randy Moss helps the 49ers it will make
for some really interesting football especially with 2 mad scientist like
Harbaugh and Carroll at the helm look out NFL you have unleashed the beast…
Now
kids know that everyone deserves another chance to prove themselves and this is
TO 4th or 5th chance so I will say this its good news for
the media and bad news for defenses. Till Sundays my friends….Class is dismissed….
